Fleet tools that work at the toll plaza

What the workshop covers for your transport operation

See use cases

FASTag badge setup and pairing

We walk through the registration flow for vehicles over 12 tonnes, linking each badge to the correct registration number, and checking that the tag is active before the first trip on a national highway.

Transaction reconciliation

You learn to read the daily transaction log, spot double debits, match toll charges against the route taken, and flag mismatches before they turn into accounting problems at month end.

Fleet account top-up rules

We explain how the prepaid balance works across multiple vehicles, what the minimum recharge threshold is, and how to set alerts so a truck is never stopped at a barrier because the account ran dry.

Route cost comparison

Using the trip history, we show how to compare two corridors between the same cities, factor in toll rates and fuel stops, and pick the route that keeps the per-kilometre cost under control.

Driver handover checklist

A short routine for the cab: confirm the badge is mounted correctly, check the balance before departure, and note the toll plaza names where the tag has failed in the past so the back office can follow up.

Monthly expense report

We build a simple report from the platform data: total toll spend, cost per vehicle, number of plaza passes, and the top five expensive corridors, ready to share with the owner or the accounts team.

Terms and Conditions for Toll Services

Clarifications on how our tele-tolling and fleet management platform operates, what is covered, and the responsibilities of both parties.

Which vehicles are eligible for the tele-tolling service?

The service is designed for commercial vehicles over 12 tonnes, including rigid trucks, tractor-trailers, and container carriers operating on national highways and major logistics corridors. Light commercial vehicles and passenger cars are not covered under this platform.

How does the toll badge work at a physical plaza?

Each vehicle receives a FASTag-linked badge that is read automatically at toll plazas equipped with electronic toll collection. The toll amount is deducted from your fleet account balance in real time, and the transaction appears in your dashboard within a few minutes. No cash or manual paperwork is needed at the booth.

What happens if the account balance runs low during a trip?

You will receive a notification when the balance falls below a threshold you set. If the balance reaches zero, the badge stops working and the driver must pay at the plaza manually. We recommend keeping a buffer equivalent to at least three days of average toll spend per vehicle.

Are toll charges on state highways included in the platform?

The platform covers toll plazas on national highways and select state highways that accept FASTag. Some smaller state-operated plazas may still require manual payment. The transaction history will clearly mark which charges were processed digitally and which were paid on-site.

How is the transaction history used for fleet reporting?

Every toll payment is logged with the vehicle registration, plaza location, timestamp, and amount. You can export this data by vehicle, route, or date range. The reports help you compare actual toll spend against planned routes and identify corridors where costs are higher than expected.

What is the process for replacing a lost or damaged badge?

Report the issue through the dashboard or by phone. A replacement badge is dispatched to your registered address within three working days. The old badge is deactivated immediately to prevent unauthorized use, and any remaining balance stays linked to your fleet account.

Frequently Asked Questions About Toll Management

How does the tele-toll badge work for trucks over 12 tonnes?

The badge is linked to your fleet account and automatically deducts toll charges when your truck passes through a FASTag-enabled lane on national highways. Each transaction is recorded in real time, so you can see exactly which vehicle crossed which toll plaza and what was charged. There is no need for cash or waiting at the booth.

Can I track toll expenses for each truck separately?

Yes. The dashboard groups transactions by vehicle registration number, route, and date. You can filter by a single truck or compare multiple vehicles on the same corridor. This helps you spot unusual charges, verify driver reports, and plan budgets based on actual usage rather than estimates.

What happens if my badge is lost or damaged during a trip?

You can block the badge immediately from the fleet portal or mobile app. A replacement badge is issued and linked to the same account, so your balance and transaction history remain intact. Until the new badge arrives, your drivers can still use the existing FASTag lanes with a temporary pass if you have enabled that option.

How do I recharge the fleet account and set limits?

Recharge is done through the portal using net banking, UPI, or corporate card. You can set a minimum balance threshold and receive alerts when the account drops below it. For tighter control, you can assign a daily or weekly spending cap per vehicle, which prevents overspending on unexpected detours.

Is the system compatible with all toll plazas on Indian highways?

The platform works with the national FASTag network, which covers toll plazas on national highways and major state corridors. For routes that still use manual collection, the system lets you log cash payments manually so your records stay complete. This gives you a single view of toll costs even on mixed routes.

Can I export transaction reports for accounting?

Yes. You can export monthly or custom date-range reports in CSV or PDF format. Each report includes vehicle details, toll plaza name, transaction time, and amount. This makes it straightforward to reconcile with your accounting software or share with clients who reimburse toll expenses.
